Moffitt Cancer Center has unveiled its new Speros innovation campus in Land O Lakes, expanding the National Cancer Institute-designated facility beyond its Tampa headquarters. The 775-acre campus will integrate research, technology, and patient care to advance cancer treatment methods. A new 250,000-square-foot Discovery and Innovation Center will house 20 faculty labs and 12 shared resource facilities. Approximately 250 research scientists from diverse disciplines will collaborate in the center to accelerate cancer research and treatment development. The campus is projected to create over 11,000 jobs by 2033, with 2,400 team members relocating to the site by the end of 2026. Funding includes $600 million in active construction investments from the cancer center, Florida state, and Pasco County. While the total campus spans 775 acres, 275 acres are dedicated to conservation efforts. This marks the first such campus in Pasco County, joining Moffitt’s existing regional locations across Tampa Bay.
