Adam Shoemaker and Brenda Glass were crowned as the new King Pithla and Queen Chasco during the 2026 Chasco Coronation Ball held on March 20. This annual event celebrates outstanding community contributions and serves as a major fundraiser for Lighthouse for the Visually Impaired and Blind. More than fifty individuals were nominated by various not-for-profit organizations, with Shoemaker representing the Community Service Council of West Pasco and Glass being nominated by Rotary District 6950. Shoemaker has dedicated fourteen years to community service through multiple organizations and played a significant role in assisting residents after Hurricane Helene. Glass has worked to develop future leaders and founded an educational program that expanded across Florida and other states. The coronation ball welcomed nearly three hundred sixty guests at Spartan Manor, with twenty-five volunteers supporting the event. Both new royalty encourage others to find their place in local community organizations and get involved in charitable work.
