New Port Richey to Develop Interactive Geology Exhibit

New Port Richey’s city council has approved a motion to move forward with an interactive geology exhibit project, planned for Cotee River Park. The initiative, led by Investigation Station, aims to create 12 interactive stations highlighting Florida’s geological history. While the project faces concerns about flooding and maintenance, the council emphasized the educational value for youth. Additional city actions include a proposed ordinance for a residential development and funding for outdoor musical instruments. The project reflects ongoing efforts to enhance public spaces with interactive and educational elements.
