A 25-year-old Spring Hill man fleeing Pasco County deputies late Tuesday night lost control of his speeding Dodge Charger while overtaking another vehicle on Mariner Boulevard. Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) reported that around 11:30 p.m., the driver struck a curb near Lindsay Drive during reckless lane changes, causing his car to veer back into traffic and collide with a Ford Mustang driven by a 48-year-old Spring Hill woman. The impact sent her vehicle spinning to the roadside while his Charger careened into a concrete wall at Seven Hills Plaza. Unrestrained by a seatbelt, he was ejected and later died at a hospital. The woman sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was treated locally. Authorities continue investigating the chaotic chain of events sparked by the high-speed pursuit.
