Pasco County Plans Asbel Road Extension to Ridge Road Connector

Pasco County has announced plans to extend Asbel Road so it connects directly with the Ridge Road Extension, providing residents of nearby neighborhoods a more convenient route. The proposed $1.9 million project would run from Falcon Crest Boulevard to Ridge Road and is currently under review by relevant state agencies. Once permits are approved, construction is expected to take approximately 250 days. This connector will allow residents in Tierra Del Sol and Asbel Creek & Estates to access the Ridge Road Extension without needing to travel via U.S. 41. The larger Ridge Road project itself faces delays due to a railroad bridge clearance process with CSX Railroad, pushing the initial two-lane connection opening to fall 2027. The second phase of the Ridge Road project includes additional infrastructure improvements like sidewalks, bike lanes, and water mains.
