Pasco County is accepting discarded holiday trees until Jan. 11, recycling them into mulch for trails and parks. The trees are also used to create fish habitats in local ponds and lakes, approved by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and conservation biologists, benefiting freshwater wildlife.
