Pasco County School Board Faces New Leadership Transition

The Pasco County school board will see at least two new members sworn in November as incumbents Al Hernandez and Cynthia Armstrong retire. With three seats up for grabs, a growing field of 10 candidates, including education advocates and political figures, will vie for positions. Candidates emphasize reforms like school choice, teacher pay, curriculum changes, and opposing the district’s tax referendum. The August 18 election marks a pivotal shift in local governance.
