A new fertilizer plant in Shady Hills, Florida, aims to produce sustainable fertilizer from wastewater sludge, offering a beneficial solution for both the environment and the local business. Merrell Bros., Inc. has partnered with Pasco County for seven years, processing waste into consumer-safe pellets for lawns, golf courses, and fields. The company, which began as a pig farm waste disposal business, now recycles waste from sewage treatment plants. The new facility will soon supply big box and independent stores with the solar thermal pasteurized, safe, and convenient fertilizer.
