Seven People Rescued From Troubled Boat in Port Richey

Seven people were rescued by the Port Richey Fire Department on a Sunday evening when a privately owned boat began filling with water. The Marine 42 crew responded quickly to the distress call and located five adults and two children in the waterlogged vessel. The boat was discovered near the entrance of the Pithlachascotee River channel, posing a potential navigational hazard for passing boats. All seven occupants were successfully transported to safety at Nick’s Park located on Bayview Street in Port Richey.
