An eighth-grader named Josh Patrick, concerned about the safety of his fellow students, stepped forward to push for sidewalk improvements in his neighborhood in Pasco County, Florida. His efforts led to a $1.5 million grant for building two miles of sidewalks around his school, with more sidewalks expected to be constructed in the near future.
