A tragic incident occurred Saturday evening in Hudson when a three-year-old boy was found unresponsive in the water at Sunwest Park. The child had reportedly run away from family members during the crowded Fourth of July festivities and Scallop Fest celebration. Deputies responded to the scene around 5:20 p.m. after receiving a report of a missing child. Emergency responders immediately began CPR before transporting the juvenile to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The Pasco Sheriff’s Office stated this was an isolated incident with no threat to public safety, and no additional information has been released regarding the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
