Michael, 18 years old, will represent the United States in the under 21 division at the World Karate Championship in Poland this October. His younger brother Aaron will compete in the under 14 division at the upcoming Junior Pan American Championship next month. Both athletes train daily in a home setup before driving four hours to a dojo in Hialeah for additional practice sessions. Despite their young ages, they express deep pride in representing their country and aim to win gold medals rather than simply wearing the flag. Their mother Lisa notes that competitors must self-fund their training, travel, and tournament expenses through working extra jobs. The family is actively seeking local business sponsorships to help cover these costs for upcoming international events.
