Veterans Find Hope and New Life Through Local Support Center Services in Pasco County Florida

Mike Biggs, a Marine veteran who once lived in the woods of Pasco County with little hope for change, has found stability through the Veterans Support Center in New Port Richey. Today he lives in his own home and dedicates time to helping other veterans at the same facility that transformed his life. The center provides comprehensive services including housing assistance, healthcare access, addiction treatment, and employment support for struggling veterans. Director Cameron Wright shares a similar journey from homelessness under bridges to leading the organization that now helps others find their way back. While federal data shows veteran homelessness has decreased significantly since 2010 with over 52,000 veterans housed last year through VA programs, thousands still lack permanent housing nationwide. The Veterans Support Center works locally in Pasco County to connect veterans with essential resources and demonstrate what recovery looks like when proper support systems are available.
