Vincent House Provides New Homes for Mental Health Support

Daniel Lee, a 33-year-old man with mental illness and one leg, found stability through Vincent House, a Hudson nonprofit offering housing and support. After years in unstable conditions, he now resides in new modular homes, part of a 39-unit community. Founded by the Steeles after their daughter’s schizophrenia diagnosis, the organization emphasizes employment, education, and social integration. With grants and donations, Vincent House has built 15 homes, aiming to expand and address homelessness for individuals with mental health challenges. The initiative, modeled after Clubhouse International, combines housing with job training to promote independence. Over 100 members await housing, relying on donations and community involvement.
