Whataburger Opens with Long Line of Excitement in Wesley Chapel

Hundreds of people lined up for the opening of a new Whataburger in Wesley Chapel/Lutz, with early arrivals enjoying free burgers and praise for the restaurant’s tasty offerings. The event featured a ceremonial ribbon-cutting and drew loyal fans and first-time customers alike. A 74-year-old resident, Richard Coley, waited 19 hours for the chance to try the burger, calling it ‘impressive’ and ‘delicious.’ While not joining the Whataburger cult, he praised the quality of the Double Meat Whataburger, Patty Melt, and other menu items. The restaurant, part of a national chain expanding to Tampa Bay, aims to impress with its fresh, never-frozen burgers and unique sides like spicy ketchup and onion rings.
