An 81-year-old Lutz man was traveling southbound on a Kawasaki motorcycle when an 87-year-old bicyclist from Land O’ Lakes attempted to cross the highway westbound. Investigators report the bicyclist entered the path of the motorcycle and was struck, suffering fatal injuries. The bicyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene while the motorcyclist sustained serious injuries and was transported to an area hospital.
