Keri Magee, a 64 year old runner from Odessa Florida has maintained an impressive daily running streak for fourteen years. In fall 2021 she began experiencing unusual fatigue and breathing difficulties during her runs which led to a diagnosis of rare non Hodgkin lymphoma in March 2022. Despite undergoing weekly infusion treatments for four weeks Magee continued running every single day even on treatment days. She discovered that exercise helped alleviate her cancer symptoms and provided mental relief from thinking about her illness. Less than three years after her diagnosis she completed the Walt Disney Marathon in January 2025 finishing in 4 hours and 13 minutes. Most recently she ran the Boston Marathon with a time of 4:00:04 just four seconds shy of breaking four hours. Magee is now training for her fifth marathon at the Marine Corps Marathon in Washington DC this October while maintaining her daily running habit even when traveling long distances.
