Pasco County deputies initially responded to a report of aggravated assault but later classified the incident as a kidnapping. A woman returned home with her two children after a beach trip and found Savetz arguing over property disputes while armed with a gun. The victim called 911, identifying Savetz as the suspect, but both she and Savetz were missing when deputies arrived at the scene. Investigators discovered them dead from gunshot wounds inside a rental vehicle in Spring Hill. The woman’s children were unharmed and placed in their biological father’s care.
