Deputy and School Officer Fired Over Flirtatious Snapchat and Dead Body Photo

A Pasco County Sheriff’s Office deputy and school resource officer at Pinecrest Academy was terminated after an arrest affidavit revealed he sent flirtatious Snapchat messages and a photo of a dead body to a 13-year-old student. The teen reported that the deputy, 31, added her on Snapchat and after weeks of casual conversation, his messages became inappropriate and he later sent her an image of a corpse in a wooded area. She also claimed the deputy indicated he was near her home, prompting her to block him. The deputy claimed he sent the photo to his wife and couldn’t recall sending it to the teen, and deleted his Snapchat account after the allegations surfaced, impeding the investigation. He has been charged with tampering with physical evidence and was fired immediately upon arrest. The case highlights concerns about law enforcement conduct and the safety of minors in school settings.
