A deputy was involved in a collision with a Nissan Rogue SUV at the intersection of Broad Street (U.S. 41) and Grande Entrada Boulevard just before 11 a.m. The deputy, attempting to pull over a speeding vehicle, was struck by the SUV that pulled out from the intersection, causing the patrol car to overturn multiple times. Both drivers were trapped and required extrication, with neither sustaining life-threatening injuries.
