Eight People Charged After Multi-Day Human Trafficking Sting In Pasco County

Pasco County authorities announced that eight individuals faced criminal charges after a multi-day human trafficking and prostitution investigation concluded recently. The four-day law enforcement operation targeted commercial sexual exploitation, human trafficking, prostitution solicitation, and attempts to engage in unlawful sexual contact with minors. This joint effort involved the Zephyrhills Police Department working alongside the St. Petersburg Police Department and the Tampa Bay Human Trafficking Task Force. Investigators made several arrests including Jorge Silva Montebello who faced human trafficking charges and Marvin Thornton who was charged with attempting human trafficking among other offenses. Zephyrhills Police Chief Derek Brewer stated this operation demonstrates their ongoing commitment to protecting vulnerable populations and stopping those who facilitate commercial sexual exploitation.
