A tragic incident occurred in Zephyrhills, Florida, when a person died after being rescued from a burning home. Pasco County Fire Rescue crews responded to a working structure fire on Thursday evening in the Zephyr Heights neighborhood. Upon arrival, firefighters found heavy fire and smoke inside the residence located in the 5000 block of 23rd Street. They were informed that someone was still trapped inside and immediately entered the dangerous structure to perform a rescue operation. Firefighters successfully located the individual and removed them from the home before transporting them to a nearby hospital with critical injuries. Despite medical efforts, the patient unfortunately passed away at the hospital following their rescue from the fire scene.
