Historic Building Transformed Into Vibrant Mixed-Use Development in New Port Richey

A nearly century-old building in downtown New Port Richey is being transformed into a modern mixed-use development called Nick’s Point. Developer Carl Mowry is leading the project, which will feature restaurants, nightlife venues, and retail spaces while preserving some historic architectural elements. The former Arcade Building, originally constructed in 1927 and once housing the city’s first post office, will now include a tapas restaurant named Parcel Plate. Local business owner Tara Fielding expressed excitement about contributing to the city’s growth after living there since childhood. Another wine bar called Vino & Vibes is already operating at the location, offering upscale dining options to visitors. The redevelopment aims to position New Port Richey as a destination comparable to Clearwater and St. Petersburg. This project represents part of broader downtown revitalization efforts that have added new housing, restaurants, bars, and community spaces in recent years.
