The annual 9/11 Memorial Mile event in Wesley Chapel honored those who lost their lives on 9/11 and highlighted the service of everyday heroes in the community. Among the honored were Pasco County Sheriff’s Deputy Buddy Allman, who survived a harrowing experience during Hurricane Milton, and the memory of Tarpon Springs Police Officer Charles Kondek, who was killed in the line of duty. The event also showcased the resilience and gratitude of both Allman and Kondek’s widow, Teresa.
