Multiple Tampa Bay communities are preparing for potential coastal flooding from Hurricane Isaias by establishing sandbag fill sites. A Coastal Flood Advisory has been issued for Friday through Saturday morning, predicting 1 to 3 feet of water from Tampa Bay to the Nature Coast. Residents in St. Petersburg can obtain year-round sandbags on the second Saturday of each month with a limit of 10 bags per person and proof of residency required. St. Pete Beach offers a self-service option at Egan Park providing both sand and bags for free. Pasco County has established two round-the-clock stations where residents must bring their own shovels. The City of Port Richey also provides sandbags at City Hall, with empty bags stored in the police department and a ten-bag limit per resident. Dade City and Manatee County have opened additional self-serve locations with shovels that residents must supply themselves. Specific distribution times have been set for Thursday and Friday in late October for various locations.
