Major Fire Evacuates 90 Units at Cobalt Apartments in Wesley Chapel

Fire crews responded to the Cobalt Apartments in the 3900 block of Jermyn Loop shortly after 3 p.m. on a recent Wednesday afternoon. Heavy smoke and flames were visible coming from the roof, which prompted an immediate evacuation of more than 90 units affecting approximately 400 residents. Dozens of pets were also rescued from the building during the emergency response. No injuries to residents or firefighters have been reported as of now. Firefighters remained at the scene overnight working to extinguish hot spots and continue monitoring the structure through Friday.
