Man Killed After Pointing Shotgun At Pasco Deputies During DV Call

A 61-year-old man named Enoch Harville was killed in Land O Lakes, Florida after pointing a shotgun at Pasco County sheriff’s deputies. The incident occurred late Thursday night when deputies responded to a reported domestic violence call involving a firearm on Causeway Boulevard. Deputies located Harville in a back room where he was armed and ordered him to drop the weapon multiple times without success. When Harville approached the officers still holding the shotgun, they fired their weapons, striking him and killing him at the scene. No deputies or civilians were injured during the shooting incident. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement will conduct an investigation following standard protocol for deputy-involved shootings. Both deputies who fired have been placed on paid administrative leave while the investigation continues. Sheriff Chris Nocco confirmed there is no threat to the public and reminded residents about available domestic violence resources through Sunrise of Pasco County.
