A 30-year-old man lost his life after a severe motorcycle accident occurred early Saturday morning in Pasco County, Florida. The incident took place around 2:50 a.m. at the intersection of Trouble Creek Road and Whitetail Lane near New Port Richey. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 61-year-old woman had stopped at a stop sign when she attempted to cross the intersection through a broken median section. Her Kia Sorento vehicle then entered the path of the westbound Suzuki motorcycle being ridden by the deceased motorcyclist. Emergency services transported the injured rider to a local hospital, but he unfortunately passed away from his injuries. The female driver was fortunate to escape the collision without sustaining any reported injuries. Investigators from the Florida Highway Patrol are currently working to determine the full circumstances surrounding this tragic event.
