A new law in Florida will require teens seeking a learner’s permit to complete a six-hour driver’s education course instead of the current four-hour traffic law and substance abuse education course, starting August 1. The change may cause confusion for many teens and their parents. However, those who complete the current course before August 1 will be grandfathered in and exempt from the new, longer course.
