The formula includes Hall of Fame probability, career win shares, and value over replacement player. For players drafted before VORP data was available, half of their win shares were used instead. Basketball Hall of Fame inductees received a minimum 60% for their Hall of Fame probability. Scores were normalized to 100 based on the scoring leader.
