Coordinated Rescue Saves Two Paddleboarders Swept Away In Pasco County Waters

Two paddleboarders were successfully rescued from the water in Pasco County, Florida on Tuesday after being swept away from shore. The incident required a coordinated response involving multiple agencies including the Pasco Sheriff’s Office, New Port Richey Police Department, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, and the U.S. Coast Guard. The Pasco Sheriff’s Office Aviation Unit quickly located the stranded individuals from the air and directed ground rescuers to their precise location. The New Port Richey Police Department Marine Unit then safely retrieved both paddleboarders and brought them back to shore without incident. Officials praised the strong interagency cooperation that enabled such a rapid and effective emergency response on the water. Authorities are now reminding residents and visitors to always check weather and water conditions before heading out on the water.
