A 68-year-old Palm Harbor woman died after being struck by a vehicle in New Port Richey on Friday afternoon. The fatal incident occurred around 2 p.m. on May 15 near the intersection of Epiphany Way and Tryfon Boulevard. According to investigators, a Jeep Wrangler driven by a 45-year-old New Port Richey woman was traveling northbound on Epiphany Way when it collided with the pedestrian who was walking westbound in the area. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Authorities have not released the names of those involved in the tragedy. The crash remains under investigation by local authorities as they work to determine the circumstances surrounding the fatal collision.
