17-year-old Kieu Simms, a resident of Hudson, has been competing in artistic roller skating since she was 4. She has amassed an impressive collection of awards in various competitions, including the World Skate Junior Ladies competition and events sponsored by USA Roller Sports. Kieu trains rigorously, often for three to five hours a day, and is coached by Karyn Cormier. She is considering studying forensic science in college.
