Pasco County Receives $600M for Hurricane Recovery

Pasco County has received $600 million in federal disaster recovery funding to aid residents rebuilding after Hurricanes Helene, Milton, and Idalia. The $585 million Community Development Block Grant will support long-term recovery, focusing on helping homeowners repair, rebuild, and strengthen homes against future storms. The program targets low-income residents, with additional funding for those up to 120% of AMI. County officials highlight the importance of completing applications, noting that many families still live in damaged homes over a year later. Upcoming initiatives include a small business recovery program and a $100 million housing initiative to expand homeownership.
