A 52-year-old Tampa woman died in a hit-and-run crash in Pasco County involving a Tesla Y, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The incident occurred around 9 p.m. on Parkwood Street when the Tesla driver, identified as Logan Richard Pineda, 24, struck the bicyclist heading south and fled the scene. Pineda later returned to the crash site and turned himself in, leading to his arrest and booking into Pasco County Jail. The victim was hospitalized but later succumbed to her injuries. Authorities cited the incident as a fatal hit-and-run case.
