Pasco County deputies have arrested a suspect in connection with a shooting at a construction site near Moffitt Cancer Center’s campus in Land O’ Lakes. The incident occurred just before 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Wilton Way area when an argument between two acquaintances escalated into gunfire. A man was shot and transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect, identified as 43-year-old Michael White, fled on foot but was located several hours later in Tampa. Angeline Academy of Innovation, located just over a mile from the scene, was briefly placed on controlled campus status while deputies searched for the suspect. White has been booked into the Hillsborough County Jail.
