Pinellas Park Woman Faces Charges After High-Speed Chase in Pasco County

A 29-year-old woman from Pinellas Park was arrested after leading Florida Highway Patrol officers on a high-speed chase through Pasco County late Tuesday. The driver, Desarae Ciocca, fled at speeds exceeding 110 mph, ran multiple red lights, and narrowly avoided collisions. Troopers used spike strips and a PIT maneuver to stop the vehicle, which was found to contain cocaine, methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia. Ciocca, who showed signs of impairment and claimed she fled due to prior arrests, had seven suspended licenses and 23 active suspensions. Her blood alcohol level was 0.091, and she faces felony charges related to drug trafficking and reckless driving.
