A group of retirees in New Port Richey, Florida known as The Juliets, transformed their holiday gift exchange into a community service mission. Their latest initiative, ‘Christmas in July’, collected food and supplies for two local causes: The Volunteer Way food bank and Runaways Animal Rescue. The donations will support the Brown Bag program for homebound seniors, and also help pay for Gator the animal rescue’s medical expenses.
