Saint Leo University held commencement ceremonies on April 6, awarding nearly 1,500 degrees across multiple disciplines. The event featured addresses by Florida Lt. Gov. Jay Collins and tech entrepreneur Arnie Bellini, who emphasized the value of lifelong learning. Honorary degrees were conferred to entrepreneur William A. Pope and Florida Agriculture Commissioner Wilton Simpson. Nearly 70% of graduates were Florida residents, with representation from 47 states and 21 countries. The class included 80 active-duty military members and 17% of graduates were military-affiliated. Notable achievements included 102 graduates earning a 4.0 GPA. The ceremonies marked President Jim Burkee’s first commencement as the university’s leader. AdventHealth hospitals across West Florida also received top safety ratings from The Leapfrog Group, highlighting regional institutional excellence.
