The incident began when a man named Aaron Rodriguez confronted a couple clearing their property, leading to a confrontation. Rodriguez shot the man while he was on the phone with 911, then fired at the woman as she fled. Deputies arrived and engaged Rodriguez, who shot a K9 handler and another deputy before being subdued.
