On May 18, a multi‑vehicle collision occurred on U.S. Highway 19 north of Little Road in Pasco County. Florida Highway Patrol reports that Gregorio Santoni Reyes, driving a Toyota Camry, struck a Mazda and sideswiped a Ford Bronco. The impact sent the Bronco across the median into a southbound Hyundai SUV, fatally injuring its driver Jonathan Quiles. Witnesses said Reyes stopped briefly with hazard lights on before fleeing the scene toward a Hernando County Walgreens. Deputies located him there, noting signs of impairment such as slurred speech and difficulty standing. Reyes was arrested and now faces charges including DUI manslaughter, leaving the scene of a crash involving death, multiple hit‑and‑run and DUI property damage counts.
