Tampa Bay Faces Water Shortage; Reservoir Drawdown Early

Tampa Bay is experiencing a water shortage due to below-average rainfall, forcing officials to tap into the C.W. Bill Young Regional Reservoir earlier than planned. The reservoir, which supplies water to three counties, is currently at 75% capacity, and officials are urging residents to conserve water as the deficit continues to grow. Consistent rain is needed to alleviate the drought conditions.
