A 20-year-old man from Tampa died after a motorcycle crash occurred on Saturday afternoon in Pasco County. The accident happened around 3:10 p.m. at the intersection of SR-54 and Player Drive according to Florida Highway Patrol reports. Investigators determined that the motorcyclist was traveling westbound on SR-54 at high speed when a Chevy Suburban driven by a 53-year-old New Port Richey man turned left onto Player Drive. The Suburban entered the path of the motorcycle causing a collision that resulted in fatal injuries for the rider. The driver of the Chevrolet vehicle remained at the scene and no other injuries were reported immediately following the incident. The Florida Highway Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding this tragic crash.
