The Florida Highway Patrol arrested two teens after a vehicle fled from Tampa police, with the driver having a suspended license. During the pursuit, a handgun was thrown out the window, leading to a traffic stop where the Infiniti sedan was found on County Road 524. The driver, Amir Jones, faced charges for the suspended license, while his passenger, David Rivera, was arrested for throwing the gun. Two other passengers were released without charges. Tampa police filed fleeing-to-elude charges after the vehicle evaded officers on State Road 589. The Florida Highway Patrol collaborated with TPD to locate the vehicle during the incident.
