The Pasco County School District is investigating complaints about Wiregrass Elementary principal Bailey Morris after safety concerns were raised at the Wesley Chapel school. Nearly two dozen staff members and parents attended an April 14 school board meeting, demanding Morris’s removal and citing incidents of student assault and perceived retaliation. Critics, including parent Michael Ruiz and staff member Angela Callahan, described an environment of fear and inadequate enforcement of the student code of conduct. Superintendent John Legg announced an immediate investigation and promised a respectful process. Board chairperson Colleen Beaudoin encouraged reporting issues early, and the district sent a team to gather more information on April 15.
