Tens of thousands of skydivers participated in World Skydiving Day on Saturday, uniting first-time jumpers and experienced enthusiasts globally. The event aims to introduce new participants to the sport while attempting to break the record for most jumps in a single day. In 2024, 30,351 jumps were logged worldwide, followed by 26,718 in 2025, with current year totals still being calculated. Locally, Skydive City in Zephyrhills hosted hundreds of participants as part of this annual celebration.
