Man Kills Citibank Employee Over Debt in Tampa Shooting

A gunman named Jacob Pearson shot 21-year-old Leann Selman, a Citibank employee, in Tampa, Florida, on Wednesday because of a $2,500 debt he owed. Pearson was receiving legal help from Citibank regarding his finances before the attack. He believed he might get special treatment or have his court hearing cancelled if he threatened violence. Pearson drove his car over several barriers before crashing through the Citibank campus fence. He had a rifle when he exited the car and opened fire on a luncheating pedestrian. A Citibank security guard shot him five times before he could return to his car for a handgun. Over 400 law enforcement officers eventually cleared the area after scene investigation completed.
