Motorcycle Rider Leads Police Chase Exceeding 145 mph Before Surrendering In New Port Richey

A motorcycle rider in Pasco County, Florida is accused of leading law enforcement on a dangerous pursuit across multiple counties at speeds exceeding 145 miles per hour. The incident began when a Florida Highway Patrol trooper attempted to stop the sport motorcycle traveling at 104 mph in a 45 mph zone near Hicks Road. When the rider accelerated away instead of stopping, it triggered an extended chase through Pasco and Hernando counties before he eventually surrendered in New Port Richey. The arrest report indicates that the 44-year-old defendant was charged with fleeing or attempting to elude law enforcement and operating a vehicle at excessive speeds that threatened people or property. During his arrest just before 10 p.m., investigators noted the rider had medical marijuana in his pocket and detected the odor of alcohol, which he later confirmed by stating he had consumed several beers earlier that day. Freymuller was subsequently booked into the Pasco County Detention Facility following this high-speed incident.
