A twenty-nine-year-old woman from New Port Richey was arrested following a single-vehicle crash that occurred on Sunday morning. Hannah Elizabeth Mackay lost control of her Mazda CX-30 while driving northbound on U.S. 19 near the intersection of Sunray Drive around 9:25 a.m. The vehicle struck a ditch, concrete sidewalk, and utility pole guide wires before coming to a stop. Mackay sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital for medical treatment. Following the investigation by Florida Highway Patrol troopers, she was arrested on multiple charges including driving under the influence, drug possession, and driving with a suspended license. After being medically cleared, Mackay was taken to the Pasco County Jail pending further proceedings. The crash remains under ongoing investigation by law enforcement authorities.
