Pasco County Proposes K-8 School Merge to Address Academic Challenges

Pasco County school officials plan to merge Pasco Elementary and Pasco Middle into a K-8 school to address academic concerns like chronic absenteeism and disciplinary issues. Superintendent John Legg emphasized the move aims to provide educational continuity for students and reallocate resources, rather than consolidating physical spaces. The proposal, set for board discussion in February, would retain both campuses but unite leadership under Principal Gretchen Rudolph-Fladd, who has already begun developing implementation strategies.
